I’m not at all sure I am done with this but for some reason I feel the need to clear the decks. So up it goes.

This was a day of strange clouds and strange light. I struggled with this file more than should have been necessary.

The same sycamore as a couple of previous posts (left-center) but from another side and another time. Stardust.

Here is another view of the same Sycamore as the previous post. Different day, different lens, more peace. I actually have quite a few images of this Plantanus occidentalis and its companions. I was even thinking about a show of images just made from this meadow. If I do I will be sure to invite the land owner!

The evening I captured this I was informed that this land I was on (above), and indeed all the land in the vicinity of my home “. . . was owned by the Knott family since the Civil War.” Though delivered in a kindly enough way I think the message was that no matter who I am I will always be an interloper. Hmm. People here tend to read an awful lot into inherited land ownership (provided it is measured in hundreds of acres). Aren’t we all just passing through? . . . mere flashes of energy as measured in the time of the land? From stardust we came, and to stardust we shall go in due time.

I don’t believe it would be possible to pump more color into this than was actually the case. These are the same three sycamores in other recent posts. A fox scolded me for intruding into its turf—thus the name.
