Storm at the Crossroads

I originally posted this image in color and as one of a sequence as this storm rolled in and over me.

Crossroad Storm Sequence Image 1 of 10

This is the first of 10 images that will make up this group. The entire group was made in less than four minutes as the storm swept in and unfolded over me. These exposures were made at the Crossroads on Friday, May 10 2013, between 6:24 and 6:28 PM. Robert Johnson was nowhere to be seen this day.

Not sure how well this will work on my blog, but it should work well on fb.

The less forced version.

Mellow Drama

I’ve been nursing and setting aside this one for a while. It has a lot of handwork. Maybe too much? Yes, I have to answer that, but opinions are welcome. I’ll often start working on an image just for the technical challenge, but in the process of working it up I become invested in it – temporarily at a loss for objectivity. I have a B&W of a similar but different frame with less handwork that perhaps has more appeal. I’ll post it next.

Ephemera — Isn’t Everything?

This was reworked since the initial post on February 14. This is a capture from last summer, like many others waiting for me to catch up.
