Greenbank River Birch Panorama
About a mile down the road toward Cass from the Greenbank Observatory. These are mostly river birch, Betula nigra, incrusted with a heavy layer of lichen. This is a two frame stitched panorama that is 36 inches long printed at its intended size. The degree of detail is barely even suggested here. At full size you can see the thousands of drops of water trapped in the fine twigs of the birches.
