Schoolhouse Ridge 7 – Departure
Here is the revised image – I left the originally posted image below for comparison. Can you say Photoshop? This was heavily worked in Photoshop (Ps). There are eight adjustment layers in this image stack to bring about the changes you see from the previous version. This is on top of adjustments made in Lightroom (Lr) in the conversion from the camera raw file (common to both).
Ps has really gotten a bad name with some people for two reasons that I can see: 1) because of the extreme abuse of its abilities that one often sees, and 2) because of the threat some accomplished analog photographers feel with this flood of powerful digital tools and the increase in the number of photographers that has resulted. All of my work goes through Ps, some with more work that others but it all goes there. Even a few years ago when I was still shooting film, I scanned it and into Ps it went. Photoshopped? Yup, all of it… proudly and with no apology.
