The relationship of marble to limestone is a visually interesting one. Marble even erodes in ways visually similar to limestone. It is metamorphosed limestone. This is in an old marble quarry in Western Massachusetts. Being there reminded me of a very good book I read years ago – A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving.
