I love the somber but rich winter colors and tonal values of the East. It can be difficult to present them in a photograph that is faithful and at the same time compelling. With today’s technology it is so easy to push the image over the line into the realm of gratuitous color saturation, color balance, or contrast. This was taken at the Blue Ridge Environmental Center.
