Knott Since the Civil War!

The evening I captured this I was informed that this land I was on (above), and indeed all the land in the vicinity of my home “. . . was owned by the Knott family since the Civil War.” Though delivered in a kindly enough way I think the message was that no matter who I am I will always be an interloper. Hmm. People here tend to read an awful lot into inherited land ownership (provided it is measured in hundreds of acres). Aren’t we all just passing through? . . . mere flashes of energy as measured in the time of the land? From stardust we came, and to stardust we shall go in due time.
